Accessing information is relatively easy. All you need is a number and a letter.
The Number = The person's ID number. (Who...)
The Letter = One of the following fourteen Records. (...did what)
"Who - did what".

For example: Sylvanus Ames' ID number is 0048 and F is the code for a Family Sheet or Genealogical Summary,
therefore 0048-F gives you a brief sketch of his family life.

Want to see if Grandpa's will is here? Enter his ID number (which you can get from the "Register ")
then add a dash and the letter "W". Not here? How about supplying it?

Anything is easy to find here because everything here follows the same pattern:
ID number - Record code.

The Family Group (F) is usually the first added and it links to what else is available for that person.
By listing the ID in the Search Engine, you can find everything that's here about the person.
If you have anything you could share, it would be much appreciated.

A - Ahnentafel - A list of forebears in numerical order. The father's number is twice his child's and the mother's number is one more than the father's. You are #1, your Father is #2, your Mother is #3, etc. Normally it includes only the parents and one child. An expanded Ahnentafel includes siblings as well.
B - Branch - a single line of descent from our immigrant ancestor.
C - Chronology - a time line, lists the significant events in the person's life in chronological order.
D - Deeds - to property help establish financial position.
F - Family groups show the basic unit of parents and children. Included are dates of birth, death and marriage. The ID numbers of Fathers and Spouses are included to help identify and expand the family. There is often a short narrative to gain some insight into their lives and situations. Also called a "Genealogical Summary", it links to other sites as well.
G - Graphics - include photographs (of people, places and things), maps, designs, Coats-of-Arms or almost anything that can not be reduced to type. Scanned copies usually work best if .jpg or .gif (See X)
L - Lineage Charts - trace your ancestors in just one line. The chart often includes full names of husbands, wives, and children as well as years of marriage, birth and death. (See T) Unlike B, it includes the children, but is not necessarily tied to our immigrant ancestor.
M - Military matters, - copies of orders, commissions, discharges, pensions or anything having to do with military service.
N - Notes are personal remembrances, newspaper articles, letters, or other items, usually of a small or personal nature. Often other family members are also mentioned, so if you don't find what you are looking for, check their siblings, parents, spouse and children as well. If there's more than one Note, they are numbered -N1, -N2, -N3, etc.
P - Pedigree - A chart or array in graphic form showing the 2 parents of each person. (See A)
R - Roll Call A Roll Call is a list of descent in a single line, much like an Ahnentafel.
T - Tree. - This is the familiar Pedigree chart which lists both parents for each person, hence the name - it branches like a tree. The siblings are not included. (See L)
W - Wills - usually list all the living children, give an impression of a person's financial position, and even give poignant insight into relationships. Wills, letters and notes add flesh and blood to the dry bones of mere dates and places.
X - Extras - These are typeable things that don't really fit anywhere else. (See G)
