To the Ames Family Home Site

This site is primarily for the descendants of William Ames of Bruton as initially shown on the chart of 1851. Here you'll find a variety of directions in which to go in search for information about our family. The Register is our index. It lists basic information and links you to family sheets for the individuals listed. Our Home Page offers many opportunities which we hope you will explore. To highlight only two, consider (1) the Family Mailing List by which we keep in touch and share insights, and (2) the Ames GenForum as an ideal place to ask questions. There are many others. This is a grass root effort, the result of many hands making light work. We are not a company nor a club, we have nothing to sell, there are no fees to pay, no officers to dictate. What we are is a loose association of relatives and friends interested in collecting, preserving and disseminating information about the Ames Family.
