BERT GRESHAM McVEY (1894-1982)
Bert Gresham McVey was born 26 Feb 1894, and died on Christmas Eve, 1982. He was the son of George Washington McVey and Claudia Marshall. On 21 Sept 1913, he married Mirl Myrick, See their photographs.

EDWARD LEON McVEY (1943-)
Edward Leon McVey was born 09 Nov 1943, the son of Lester Bert McVey and Mirl Myrick. On 29 Apr 1967 he married Jeannette Telgs.

She was born September 30, 1831 at Cork, Ireland ; died May 24, 1917 at Willow Lake, SD ; and was buried at Willow Lake, SD .

Comments:
Ellen McVey was born to Irish parents in Vermont. With her parents she moved to Lake Forest, IL. The family may have had some connection to Lake Forest Academy. Family lore has it that Ellen was estranged from her parents and sisters due to her marriage. Her sisters received large homes in Lake Forest when they married. Ellen did not. Michael was thought to have been a school teacher in Lake Forest. She was some relation to a Frank McVey who accompanied Ellen's son James to SD to homestead.

EMILY McVEY (1834-1942)
Emily McVey was born Mar. 1834 and died 16 Jan 1942 in Cedar Rapids, Linn County, IA). Her father's name was John McVey. I do not have any more information about her line. She married Luman Wright from Vermont.

GEORGE WASHINGTON McVEY (1821-1916)
George Washington McVey was born 09 Oct 1821 and died 22 Jun 1916. The name of his father is not yet known but his Mother's name seems to have been Eliza, born about 1800. On 21 Nov 1843, George married Mary Elizabeth Rhymes. She was born 23 Jan 1828 and died 04 Jun 1910 in Leon Co., TX. She was the daughter of John "Little John" Rhymes and Marian Clower. Both G. After her death, Tacy's husband, John married a Catherine Ann Alder. All I know is that my grgrandmother was named after her father's mother--Tacy McVey
