WILL OF ANNA SPANN

In the name of God Amen,

I Anna Spann of the State of South Carolina Sumter District, being in health and sound mind and memory, Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament and hereby disannulling all former and other wills by me made.

I do will and dispose of all my Estate both real and personal in the way and manner following.

Imprimis. My will and desire is, that my property shall be divided into eight equal parts.

Item. I give to my Son William T Spann one Eighth part of the property as above stated, and not to be liable to any of his past present or future acts. And at his death to his child or children, if no Child or Children then to his Brothers and Sisters share and share alike.

Item I give to my Son Tyre I Spann One Eighth part of my property, & not to be liable to any of his past present or future Acts. And at, his death to his child or children Share and share alike, if no child or children then to his Brothers and Sisters Share and share alike.

Item. I give to my Daughter Harriet G. Watsons' children one Eighth part of my property which would be the amount the Mother would be entitled to, share and share alike.

Item I give to my Daughter Anna E F Yates one Eighth part of my property for her sole and seperate use, and not to be liable to the Acts of her present-or any future Husband and at her death to her child or children share & share alike, if no child or children then to her Brothers and Sisters share and share alike

Item I give to my Son Cha.s G Spann one Eighth part of my property and not to be liable to any of his past present or future Acts, and at his death to his child or children share and share alike, if no child or children, then to his Brothers and Sisters share and share alike.

Item I give to my Son Lawrence M Spann one Eighth part of my property, not to be liable to any of his past present or future Acts, and at his death to his child or children share and share alike and if no child or children then to his Brothers and Sisters share and share alike.

Item I give to my Son Timothy H Spann one Eighth part of my property, not to be liable to any of his past present or future acts and at his death to his child or children, share and share alike, if no child or children then to his Brothers & Sisters share and share alike.

Item I give to my Daughter Marie L A Cathcart one Eighth part of my property for her sole and seperate use, and not to be liable to the Acts of her present or any future Husband, and at her death to her child or children share and share alike, if no child or children then to her Brothers and Sisters share and share alike.

And I do hereby Nominate and Appoint Lawrence M Spann and Timothy H Spann Executors to this my last Will and Testament made and done this 18th day of August. in the year of Our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred & Thirty seven.
